For this spacious flat located in a 1930s building in a renowned residential district of the capital, the interior design and furnishing project focused on enhancing the original building elements.
The frescoed ceilings, the nailed-on Italian-style parquet flooring, the doors and windows of the period were all recovered and restored to their former glory. The Venetian floors, on the other hand, have guided the choice of the dominant wall colours for each room, starting with the stucco-panelled lambris.
New bookcases in the living room, the dining room and master bedroom furniture and the lacquered wood walk-in wardrobe, the upholstery, were designed and made to measure, alongside the choice of furniture from the 1930s and 1940s, purchased to maintain the stylistic coherence of the house.
In spite of the colour variation, the visual path is not affected by a break in continuity, but instead affects the warm and relaxed atmosphere of the entire flat.
